Certificate terms.
What you buy, what it costs and your rights, in short. The course and the test are free; these terms apply only to the A$59 certificate.
Who sells it
Opus Vault, trading as Aptia Skills, ABN 85 543 288 407. Address: 22 Somersby Road, Welshpool WA 6106, Australia. Phone: +61 488 991 926. Email: hello@aptiaskills.com. We are a private training provider, not a public body.
What you buy
A PDF certificate of completion (A4, three pages) in your name, saying that you completed the course “Client data security and AI scams for tax and BAS practices (2027 edition)” and passed its final test. It has a unique number and a QR code that leads to our public check, a training record, and a ready entry for your own CPE log. It is not a licence or a document from any public body.
Price and payment
A$59 in Australian dollars, the full price you pay, with no extra fees. One payment, no subscription. You pay on Stripe’s page by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can only pay after passing the test. If GST applies to the sale, it is included in the price and shown on your receipt.
Delivery
Straight away: after paying you come back to our site and download the certificate and the receipt. The link is yours alone and keeps working.
What we never claim, and what you decide
The TPB does not approve CPE providers or prescribe topics. We do not claim that the TPB or any other body backs this course, because none does. You decide whether this course is relevant to the services you provide, how to record it, and you keep your own CPE records. Before paying we ask you to tick two boxes: that you want the certificate straight away, and that you understand this. Without both, you cannot pay. We confirm both in your receipt.
- The TPB does not prescribe topics for CPE activities and does not approve providers. You use your own professional judgement in choosing activities and providers. [S3] [S2]
- CPE activities must be relevant to the tax agent or BAS services you provide. [S1] [S2]
- Evidence of CPE completed may include a certificate of completion or a certificate of attendance. [S4]
Mistakes, refunds and your consumer rights
If the certificate has a mistake of ours (for example, your name is not as you typed it) or will not download, email hello@aptiaskills.com: we fix it or refund you. A refunded certificate shows as not valid in the public check. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
- Businesses cannot take away a consumer's right to a refund or replacement for a faulty product or service, and terms that say 'no refunds' are illegal. [S22]
- Consumers are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if a product or service does not meet one of the basic rights, which are known as consumer guarantees. [S22]
- When a business sells a product with a major problem, it must give the consumer the choice of a refund or a replacement. A refund should be the full amount paid. [S22]

The contract is in English. For any complaint, email hello@aptiaskills.com and we will answer in writing.
