Certificate terms.
What you buy, what it costs and your rights, in short. The course and the test are free; these terms apply only to the A$89 certificate.
Who sells it
Opus Vault, trading as Aptia Skills, ABN 85 543 288 407. Address: 22 Somersby Road, Welshpool WA 6106, Australia. Phone: +61 488 991 926. Email: hello@aptiaskills.com. We are a private training provider, not a public body.
What you buy
A PDF certificate of completion (A4, three pages) in your name, saying that you completed the course “Cyber fraud, payment redirection and AI impersonation in legal practice (2027 edition)” and passed its final test. It has a unique number and a QR code that leads to our public check, a training record, and a ready entry for your own CPD log. It is not a licence or a document from any public body.
Price and payment
A$89 in Australian dollars, the full price you pay, with no extra fees. One payment, no subscription. You pay on Stripe’s page by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can only pay after passing the test. If GST applies to the sale, it is included in the price and shown on your receipt.
Delivery
Straight away: after paying you come back to our site and download the certificate and the receipt. The link is yours alone and keeps working.
What we never claim, and what you decide
CPD in NSW is self-assessed and the Law Society says it has no process for pre-approving providers or courses. We do not claim that the Law Society or any other body backs this course, because none does. You decide whether it counts, how many units to claim and which field it falls in, and you keep your own CPD records. Before paying we ask you to tick two boxes: that you want the certificate straight away, and that you understand this. Without both, you cannot pay. We confirm both in your receipt.
- CPD is based on self-assessment: if you assess that an activity extends your knowledge and skills in areas relevant to your practice needs or professional development, you can claim it. [S1]
- The Law Society of NSW says it has no process for pre-approving CPD providers or courses; each solicitor decides how many units to claim for an activity. [S2] [S1]
- You must keep a record of your activities and evidence that they were completed for at least 3 years. [S1]
Mistakes, refunds and your consumer rights
If the certificate has a mistake of ours (for example, your name is not as you typed it) or will not download, email hello@aptiaskills.com: we fix it or refund you. A refunded certificate shows as not valid in the public check. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
- Businesses cannot take away a consumer's right to a refund or replacement for a faulty product or service, and terms that say 'no refunds' are illegal. [S90]
- Consumers are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if a product or service does not meet one of the basic rights, which are known as consumer guarantees. [S90]
- When a business sells a product with a major problem, it must give the consumer the choice of a refund or a replacement. A refund should be the full amount paid. [S90]
Language and complaints
The contract is in English. For any complaint, email hello@aptiaskills.com and we will answer in writing.
