Certificate terms.
What you buy, what it costs and your rights, in brief. The course and the test are free; these terms cover only the €19.00 certificate.
Who sells it
Opus Vault, trading as Aptia Skills, ABN 85 543 288 407. Address: 22 Somersby Road, Welshpool WA 6106, Australia. Phone: +61 488 991 926. Email: [email protected]. We are a private training provider, not a public body.
What you buy
A PDF certificate (A4) in your name saying that you completed the course "Food safety for food handlers in Ireland: Level 1 knowledge" and passed its final test, with a training record on page 2. It has a unique number and a QR code that opens our public check. It is not a licence, a qualification or a document from any public body. It records knowledge only: your employer decides whether the training fits your job and checks your skills at work.
Price and payment
€19.00 including VAT. One payment, no subscription. You pay on Stripe's page by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can only pay after passing the test. The pay button says how much you are about to pay.
- Before a distance sale, the trader must give the total price including taxes. [S12]
- The order button must say clearly that ordering means paying. [S12]
Delivery
Straight away: after paying you return to our site and download the certificate and the receipt. The link is yours and keeps working.
Your right to cancel
Before paying we ask you to tick two boxes: that you want the certificate straight away, and that you understand you lose your right to cancel once you receive it. Without both, you can't pay. We confirm this on the receipt PDF, and Stripe also emails you a receipt.
- Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, the cancellation period for digital content not on a tangible medium is 14 days from the day the contract is made. [S12]
- The right to cancel does not apply once digital content has been supplied, if the consumer gave prior express consent and acknowledged losing the right to cancel. [S12]
- The trader must confirm the contract on a durable medium, including the consumer's acknowledgement. [S12]
Mistakes and refunds
If the certificate has a mistake we made (for example, your name isn't printed as you typed it) or it won't download, email [email protected]: we'll fix it or refund you. A refunded certificate shows as not valid on the public check. None of this limits your rights under Irish consumer law.
Language and complaints
The contract is in English. For any complaint, email [email protected] and we'll reply in writing.
