How do I check a certificate?
Once certificates open, each one will carry a certificate number and a QR code. Scan the code, or type the number on our check page, and you will see whether it is valid, with the course, the date and the holder's name. Nothing is live yet.
What will the check page show?
- The certificate number.
- The holder's name, with the ID number partly hidden.
- The course and the date it was passed.
- Valid: yes or no.
Who is it for?
Employers and inspectors who want to confirm a certificate is genuine without calling us. The page will show nothing else about the person, and checking a number needs no account.
Can I check one today?
No, because none has been issued. If anyone shows you an Aptia Skills certificate today, it is not one of ours: please tell us at [email protected].
What if the details look wrong?
Email us the certificate number. We compare it with our records and reply. We never confirm details by phone to someone we cannot identify.
